Everything about this fiber whispers nature. It was only fitting to depict a majestic animal such as the pronghorn in a sumptuous headband and mitt set. Strong yet soft, this set will wrap you in luxury and style.

The headband and fingerless mitts are each worked flat with a provisional cast on. A Kitchener stitch provides a nearly invisible seam. The headband and fingerless mitts can be adjusted for preferred size by working more or less repeats.

The fingerless mitts, worked similarly to the headband, are seamed to mirror each other and show the diamond shape on the back of each hand. An optional seed stitch thumb is worked in the round with double-pointed needles or circular needles using magic loop.

Charted and written instructions are included.

Finished Sizes: Headband- approximately 4.5” (11.4 cm) wide and 19.5” (49.5 cm) circumference. Fingerless Mitts- approximately 3” (7.6 cm) wide at seed stitch section and 6.25” (16 cm) tall.

Yarn: Amano, Puna 100% Baby Alpaca, 273 yards (250 meters) per 3.5 oz (100 g) skein. One skein in the color of choice will make the headband and a set of mitts. The sample is shown in Paracas 4012.

Needles: US 3 (3.25 mm) straight or circular as preferred, or size needed to obtain gauge. Crochet hook in similar gauge for provisional cast on. Or use the COWYAK method. Gauge needle in straight or circular as preferred to pick up provisionally cast on stitches for Kitchener stitch. Gauge needle in double-pointed needles or circular needles using magic loop for optional thumb worked in the round.

Notions: Waste yarn; cable needle; yarn needle to seam up and weave in ends; scissors; optional stitch markers to identify sections.
