With its comfortable but flattering shape, Proso sweater is a true everyday pullover which suits many and works great both with pants and dresses. I combined an interesting and easy-to-make textured pattern, which reminds me of cereal grains, with cute tiny cables to make this pullover charming and feminine.

Proso sweater is an oversize pullover with a deep V-neck, two side slits and slightly puffed sleeves. It is made with an easy, textural stitch pattern. Sides, plackets and the front are additionally decorated with cable panels, which extend to the cuffs and the hem. It is worked top-down and completely seamless. It starts with half of the neck placket, then stitches for the right front are cast on. After shoulder and neckline, the right side is placed aside and the left front is made the same way. The right and left fronts are joined and worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for the back are then picked up along the shoulders and the back neck, and after shoulder shaping, worked straight down to the underarm. The shoulders are shaped by short rows. The pattern describes German short rows to get the best possible result. The back and the front are joined and continued straight down in one piece to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round down to the cuffs.

The stitch patterns used in Proso sweater allows you decide how to work on it, depending on your preferences and knitting style, to maximize knitting comfort!
