My love for flower granny squares is almost as big as my use of bright bold colors, packed with some pretty awesome stitch techniques, it ends up in a beautifully textured crochet square.

It starts off with some front post crochet stitches and then moves over to some fancy stitchwork using pretty simple crochet stitches.
When I first launched my pattern, it was almost a fearful response of crocheters being intimidated by the difficulty of a flower crochet pattern, and honestly in my mind, working in the round, making granny squares, and the simplest easiest form of learning crochet.

So I am creating this online pattern to make this an easy enjoyable journey for all who would love to learn or try their hand at making this colorful blanket.

Difficulty level: Intermediate

Skills required:

Understand the basics of working in the round.
Joining different yarn colors and how to end and finish rows.
The pattern is not a step-by-step tutorial, per-round images are available as well as a stitch diagram

Techniques used:

All crochet squares are worked in the round, ensure that your final row count per side is correct or you will struggle to join your block at a late stage.
Gauge is not important, but it's best to stick to the same yarn weight and crochet hook thru-out making your squares or your squares would not match up.
Work ends, as you go will help you at the end when it comes to finishing the blanket unless you love spending a day at least to work on loose ends.

Note for all squares

Ensure that each side of a square has the required stitch count, according to the pattern instruction count, this will ensure that joining your squares will be simple and straightforward.
