After years of designing sweaters, I wanted to try my hand at fashioning smaller things – like socks. As an elementary school teacher, I have learned to appreciate a great educator when I meet one, and my “school-sock-mistress” was masterful: fun and funny; challenging and clear; honest and knowledgeable; and oh, so inspiring. These socks are a tribute to the teacher and to the lessons learned. Protégé are a pair of tantalizingly feminine socks. The ribbing and delicate, wrapped XO lace pattern, give these classic, top down socks a highly textural look and feel.
The lace pattern is both written and charted.
