The Proximity Hat is my response to social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please enjoy this free pattern!

Knit in the round with DK or worsted weight yarn, the Proximity Hat was designed to be an easy and comforting knit.

This hat will fit a standard adult head size of 18-23”/46-58 cm with approx. 2-3” of negative ease.

Version 2 has been edited to address the smaller size issue by needle size change. Because it is a free pattern, Proximity Hat is a one-size pattern that can be adjusted by selecting a different needle size. Keep in mind that doing so will affect the amount of yarn you’ll use.

This pattern includes the stitches, Knit, Purl and K2tog; is knitted in the round, includes both written instructions and a chart.
