prpl rain (hat)
Prpl rain is a set containing a beanie and a and a long, vintage-like, narrow scarf, both with a very easy stitch pattern that is very useful to use with variegated yarns. It effectively breaks up the ‘pooling’ in these gorgeous skeins because the stitch pattern uses a lot of yarn overs. It equally looks good in solid or semi-solids. The hat starts with a rather clever and neat way to make a tubular cast on and is worked bottom up and seamlessly in the round. The length can easily be adjusted to make a beanie or a more slouchy hat. A large pompom finishes the hat.
Included is a separate pdf with a photo tutorial on how to make the pompoms.
Thank you GardenKate for proofreading the pattern.
