I used worsted weight yarn and a G hook but when creating a piece for the Crochet Reef project, gauge and yardage do not matter much. You can use any leftover yarns and when you use it up, the piece can be done or you can add another color or yarn size if you want to. All sizes for finished pieces are needed.
