Psilo is a crescent shawl, knit from the top down for the first brioche section. The cabled band with drop stitches is knit from one side to the other. Then, stitches are picked up to continue with brioche before binding off with a cute and delicate border. With all that mohair, this shawl is just the coziest thing ever.

Suggested yarn
• MC: 2 skeins of Tosh Mo light by Madelinetosh (420 yds/skein), Fragile colorway, or any 100% merino fingering weight yarn that you like.
Although I used a single ply yarn for my shawl, i would recommend using a 3 or 4 ply yarn. The drop stitches are easier to unravel with a high twist yarn than with a single ply yarn.
• CC: 2 skeins of Mo’Soie by Les Arts Textiles du Temiscouata (459 yds/50g), Sufragette colorway.
This yarn will be held double to obtain a fingering weight gauge. If you want to use a heavier weight mohair, you won’t need to hold it double. Just keep in mind that you’ll only need half the yardage.

Psilo est un châle en croissant, tricoté du haut vers le bas pour la première section de brioche. Puis la bande de torsades et de mailles échappées est tricotée d’un côté à l’autre. Ensuite, les mailles sont relevées à partir de cette section pour continuer en point brioche avant de rabattre les mailles avec une jolie bordure. Avec tout ce mohair, ce châle est un vrai nuage de douceur.

Bien que j’ai utilisé un fil single ply (1 brin), je recommande l’utilisation d’un fil 3-ply ou 4- ply (3 ou 4 brins). Les mailles échappées sont plus faciles à détricoter avec un fil bien retordu qu’avec un fil single ply.

Dans ce projet, ce fil sera toujours doublé pour obtenir un calibre plus gros (Il faut donc tenir ensemble 2 brins de ce fil, tout au long du patron). Si vous voulez utiliser un fil de mohair de calibre plus élevé, vous n’aurez pas à doubler votre fil. Gardez simplement en tête que vous n’aurez donc besoin que de la moitié du métrage spécifié.
