Psychedelic Shrubs Shawl was created to show how hand dyed yarn can be used to make a shawl
‘Psychedelic’ in the shawl name refers to how crazy neon KAIJUU Blood was and ‘Shrubs’ was referring to the flowers and leaves under the green section. I wanted a subtle flower to make the shawl slightly textured.
I opted for the front/back post double crochet to create ridges that will slightly lift off from the boring endless double crochet. I would say this shawl is a good and quick mindless project!
Materials:
Sample uses 2 x 85% Superwash Merino 15% Nylon sock yarn from KAIJUU Fibers (100g, 400m)
2 contrasting hand dyed Fingering Weight yarn (100g 400m)
3.5mm crochet hook (use 4.00mm hook if you’re not using hand dyed yarn)
Darning needle
US Terminology/Abbreviation
Ch – chain
dc- double crochet
fpdc – front post double crochet
bpdc – back post double crochet
tc – treble crochet
