A new tiny dinosaur has landed! Ptara the Pterodactyl is here, and she’s pterribly sweet! The newest in my tiny dinosaur series with Knitrino, Ptara is a quick intermediate project that uses a fun variety of knitting techniques: I-cord for her classic crest, picking up stitches for those flappy wings, and a little mattress stitch to pull it all together.

You probably won’t be able to knit just one Ptara, and you definitely won’t be able to resist making them soar majestically through the air while your screech your best pterodactyl sounds.

Ptara makes an adorable desk buddy, pocket pal, and “just because” gift. You can now purchase the pattern in the Knitrino app. (A limited number of kits with 316 Dye Studio yarn are available too!)
