Pterodactyl Dinosaur Baby Jumper
by Helen Auld
With a new baby boy on the way I wanted to make a jumper to keep him snug and who doesn’t love dinosaurs! Pterodactyls are my daughters favourite dinosaur (yes I know it is actually a pterosaur rather than a dinosaur but try explaining that to a 4 year old) so I’m sure once she sees it I’ll have to make her a matching jumper. The pterodactyl is knitted using the intarsia method from a chart.
The jumper is knitted in DK yarn using 3.75mm and 4mm needles. It is knitted flat and then seamed. The neck uses a super stretchy cast off so that it can easily be slipped over babies head without the need for buttons.
