Ptolemy is a simple textured cowl. My “twist” in these designs is a knitting 2 or 3 strands held together, but of course you can just use DK/worsted instead.

The possibilities are endless. You can think of different sets of yarn weight, colors, merino vs. silk and solid vs. variegated yarns, to create your very own. Be careful to choose a needle size, too. It will create different texture; firm or fluffy.

Sublime Yarns Extra Fine Merino Lace (100% Merino, 383 yards/25g, Polka Dot) 260 yards/238m used.
Needles: Size US 9 (5.5 mm) circular or DPN
Gauge (knitted in round): 9 stitches and 13 rounds = 2”/5cm in Stockinette stitch
