Pub Night
It’s been a long week but now it’s Friday night and you are heading out for fish and chips (and a pint or two) at your favourite pub.
You don’t want something fussy around your neck but you know it’s windy and cold so you grab your new favourite thick and soft cowl to keep the chill at bay.
And you know you look good because who wouldn’t in such a classic Houndstooth design?
Even better is that it knit up so quickly in the evenings after work while you watched a bit of television and thought about the fun weekend ahead.
It’s Pub Night, enjoy!
And if you happen to find yourself in my hometown stop in for a pint at Ye Olde Squire and tell them Mary-Ann sent you.
Better yet, I’ll join you!
Pub Night is a quick and satisfying stash buster.
Mosaic knitting is incredibly beautiful and amazingly simple, nothing to fear and wonderful to learn! All the stitches are basic, even the Mosaic effect is achieved through the simplest of slipped stitches and working with only one colour in each row. This cowl is a perfect beginner project!
Houndstooth makes it a classic and knitting with smaller needles at the neck makes it a tapered fit.
Easy Peasy!
The pattern includes a favourite video tutorial youtube link on carrying yarn up the back of work for a neat and fuss free changing of colours.
