Puddle cowl is knit back and forth and in the round using stockinette and garter stitches. Deep yoke and shallow top border both worked back and forth to create an slit that can worn on the left or right side. Main part of cowl is worked in the round creating lots and lots of fabric that will puddle together when worn. When the wind is cold and biting, pull your cowl over your head to keep warm! Instructions are included for knitting a random color, striped cowl using leftover yarns. You will need a minimum of 1,000 to 1,500 meters heavy lace weight yarn in any number of colors. Sample red cowl knit with 1,200 yards Miss Babs Yet heavy lace yarn. Sample blue cowl knit with 1,300 yards Wollmeise Lace yarn. Both sample cowls are Size 2 and shown on US size 12 dressform.
