Puff Sleeves Pullover
I started this project last year so, technically, I can’t say it’s the first project of the year. The first project of the year will be coming at the end of January, so come back and check that one out.
This project is very easy to knit but since it is a custom knit, I have labelled it as intermediate. You knit according to your measurements, yarn used and your gauge, so you need to do some calculations up front before you start to knit.
This pullover is knitted flat and seamed at the shoulders and sides. Shoulders are shaped using German short rows. Sleeves are puffy or balloon shaped, knitted in the round and then attached to each side of the pullover. It has 19 cm/7.4 in of positive ease, but if you don’t want positive ease, you can knit without it.
I have made a matching cowl to go with the pullover so you can have different looks depending on how you feel and how cold it is outside. Personally, I like to wear it with the cowl. The cowl is long enough to be worn twice around the neck. The pattern for the cowl is included as a bonus with the pullover pattern.
Happy knitting!
