With a slight variation outlined in the pattern, this pattern will produce both mittens with a prominent poof (photographed in beige) and mittens with a flat, subtle puff (photographed in green.)

The mittens are designed to fit most adult women. Instructions are provided on customizing the length of the rib, thumb, and mitten body to ensure a perfect fit. Directions are provided on making the optional wrist tie.

This pattern uses US crochet terms.

The mittens in the photographs were crocheted with approximately 250 yards of DK yarn for each pair with a 4.5mm crochet hook. The samples were made with Ice Yarns Master Alpaca Light (Light Beige) and Ice Yarns Dona Wool (Khaki.)

The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners.
