Puffball Ring
This knitting project uses odds and ends of eyelash yarn to knit a statement cocktail ring. These are quick to knit, use only small amounts of yarn, and make super gifts and party favours.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the ring is knitted in DK weight yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Eskimo DK eyelash yarn (100% polyester) to knit the puffball, and an acrylic DK yarn to knit the ring such as Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK (100% acrylic).
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, and a little toy filling or cotton wool ball to stuff the puffball.
SIZES
One size only - The ring band is approximately 17mm internal diameter, but it will stretch.
TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include a little seaming seaming, kfb increases and k2tog decreases.
