Puffer Fishtail Throw
I decided to try my hand at a Hex blanket and this is what came off the hook. The name comes from the stitches used in the pattern. You may know what a puff stitch is but what is a fishtail? It’s a stitch I made up that I think looks like a fish tail. You may see something else but that’s what I saw. It’s just trebles and doubles worked around a front post so don’t be scared!
I used Herrschners Worsted yarn, but Red Heart or anything you like can be used. Just know that DK will make a smaller throw. No matter which yarn you use it can be made larger by making more hexies. The pattern uses 7 of 3 different hexies so plenty of room for expansion. I crochet on the tight side so yours may come out a tad larger.
This also works up pretty quick so it can be made in a couple weekends or just one if you have no interuptions. It has a quick join with a diagram of my layout and an interesting border to add to the fun texture.
I am always around if you need help, however this is one of my more tame creations. Not a lot of crazy stitch placement but not boring!

Have fun!
