Puffin
Puffins are delightful little seabirds that nest in colonies across the northern latitudes of the Atlantic Ocean.
This easily and quickly made pattern reproduces their cute and colourful charactistics.
This little puffin stands about 6” tall and uses no more than 15gms of any colour, when knitted in Hayfield Bonus DK.
It is a written pattern with counted rows so gauge/tension shouldn’t be a problem unless the knitting is very loose, which might also make the desired bird shape more difficult to achieve.
The Intarsia is pretty straightforward as there are just two colours.
The finished toy contains cotton buds(Q tips) that are sewn into the legs to help the bird to stand but these could be omitted if the toy is meant for a small child.
