Puffin Dishcloth
A good friend of mine simply loves puffins, and I designed and knit this dishcloth for her for Christmas. She was thrilled.
This pattern is suitable for any 100% cotton worsted weight yarn. My dishcloth weighs 35 gr and measures 8”W by 8 1/4”H.
This pattern is suitable for a beginner knitter.
Skills needed: cast on, cast off, knit and purl
Please choose a set of needles a size or two smaller than you would normally use to knit this yarn and choose a solid colour yarn. When you are done, block your dishcloth. These three suggestions will help the picture to ‘pop’.
I designed the pattern in October and knit from my graph. Typed it up and then knit it up this week from the pattern. I figured there was enough time in between that I wouldn’t make the mistake of knitting what I thought was in the pattern line rather than what I actually wrote. All appears to be good!
If you are a knitter who really, really wants a graph, let me know and I will send you mine, however, my technique is unorthodox as I am self-taught.
