The first time I started a blanket with this pattern I used just one strand of yarn. After a few rows I really felt like it was too thin and lightweight for a warm, snuggly blanket. So I tried two strands and it made all the difference. Using two strands also allowed me to use leftover yarn (I didn’t quite have a full skein of either color) and blend colors. I would recommend this technique, unless there’s a really thick yarn you enjoy using! The pattern worked up a blanket quickly and I liked the result. I hope you have fun with this pattern too!
