This is a very versatile pattern - though we have made this Pug Potato Pet in a hand held small version (perfect filled with a little rice to make a sensory toy), it can easily be upscaled with super cozy yarn to make a Pug Plushie or doorstop (we have made the axolotl version of this in large.. it is SOOOOO cute!). Our pattern testers have also had a go making these potato pets using left over yarn here and there and they all look super cute. Just the final finish has a slightly differnet look!

The basic pattern is super easy - mainly single crochet stitches, however you will have to give a mini bobble stitch a go - for this with have written instructions, plus an easy to follow video tutorial which is linked to YouTube for you to follow!

We used 2mm hook and 6mm safety eyes for the small pug. I have uploaded the Axolotl Plushie to show the large one, made using a 10mm hook. This doorstop plushie is 20cm/ 8inch tall as our crochet is a little tighter than normal. The potato pet is 7.5cm/ 3inch. Yours may end up a little bigger.
