I wanted to create a turtleneck sweater out of a lightweight but super bulky yarn for a cozy and comic effect, hence my choice of this chenille-type yarn. The dogs wearing these sweaters are a typical size for pugs. Their measurements:

--17 inches = back, from base of neck to start of tail
--19 inches = girth, circumference around their rib cages at the widest point
--13 inches = circumference of neck
