YARN
Vuonue Onneli (100% Finnish wool, 100 g = 219 yds / 200 m) as the main colour (MC). Vuonue Pentti (70% Finnish wool, 30% tencel, 100 g = 262 yds / 240 m) and Lang Lace (58% mohair, 42% silk, 25 g = 339 yds / 310 m) held together as the contrast colour (CC). Sample shown in colourways Vuonue Onneli Luonnonmusta (MC), Vuonue Pentti Havu and Lang Lace Nurmi held together (CC).
You can substitute Vuonue Onneli with other soft or single-ply worsted or aran weight yarns (or any yarn you can get gauge with). Great alternatives are for example Finnish Myrskyluodon Villalanka or Norwegian Sadnes Garn Alpakka Ull. The colourwork can be worked with a combination of DK and lace weight yarns, for example Sadnes Garn Alpakka and Tynn Silk Mohair held together, or using the same worsted or aran weight yarn you are using for MC.
YARDAGE
MC (Vuonue Onneli): 776 (853, 973, 1105, 1247) (1405, 1573, 1744, 1908) yds / 710 (780, 890, 1010, 1140) (1285, 1438, 1595, 1745) m.
