Knitted slippers featuring the colourful NZ bird the Pukeko.

Pattern uses double knitting (8 ply) and size 4mm needles. Slipper length 22 (23, 26 )cm. Uses 1 x 50g Blue, 1 x 50g contrast. Scraps of red, white and blue.
The slipper has 3 parts, and the pukeko pattern can be knitted into the top flap as you go or can be sewn in afterwards as I have done. I find that you get a much neater finish if it is sewn in.
