Pukis Scarf
A pūķis is a dragon, a mythical magical creature that in Latvian folklore has two sides. A pūķis brings wealth and luck to a small handful of individuals, usually without their awareness, however it can wreak havoc if you do not pay attention and ignore its activity. The Latvian symbols for a pūķis go in one direction and then turn back on themselves over and over, like this entrelac. That is why you have to be vigilant while knitting or the dragon will come out and confusion results. If you are attentive and mind your purls and knits the pūķis will enrich you with a breathtaking dragon skin scarf.
11”/28 cm width, 62”/158 cm length
The scarf uses two entire skeins of Urth Yarns worsted weight yarn. You can combine Uneek, Monokrom, Harvest, 16 Worsted. This is one pattern you will want to knit more than once.
