Douro, by its name, reminds us of the beautiful and enchanting landscapes found in the Douro Valley in Portugal. Do not be fooled by the Douro socks model!
That’s how the Douro sweater was born. Based on the design of the I incorporated in the socks, I wanted to create a top for you that would fit perfectly as a set for the fall days that are coming up quickly in Quebec.

The pattern is knit from top to bottom, in 1 piece and seamless. The construction is drop shoulder, straight cut and boxy style. We find texture all over the body, as well as on part of the sleeves. The lace finish on the body gives it a unique and feminine touch. The instructions are written except for the lace portion at the bottom of the body, which is accompanied by its abbreviations. Each of the abbreviations in the pattern has an explanation.

Material

Yarn used: Bo Fibres, base Kaksi – DK, 100% merino superwash, 100g / 211m (230 yds) per skein. You will need approx. :

• 4 (5, 5, 6, 6) (7, 8, 8, 9) skeins or approx. 800 (955, 1040, 1110, 1200) (1400, 1510, 1610, 1750) meters of DK weight yarn

Needles: 4 mm/US6 and 4.5 mm/US7

Tapestry needle; Markers; Blocking material

Using 4.5 mm/US7 needles, work 19 stitches by 32 rounds in stockinette

Available sizes
Choose a size that corresponds to between 3 to 6 inches of positive ease.

Bust: XS (S, M, L, XL) 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X corresponding to 36 (38, 42, 46, 51) 55, 59, 63, 67 inches

Douro, par son nom, évoque les magnifiques paysages enchanteurs qui se trouvent dans la vallée de Douro au Portugal. Ne vous trompez pas avec le modèle des chaussettes Douro!
Voilà que le pull Douro prit naissance. Basé sur les points incorporés dans les chaussettes, je désirais créer pour vous le haut qui s’agencera parfaitement comme un ensemble pour les journées d’automne qui s’installent assez rapidement au Québec.

Le modèle se tricote du haut vers le bas, en 1 morceau et sans couture. La construction est à épaules tombantes, coupe droite et style boxy. Nous retrouvons de la texture sur tout le corps, ainsi que sur une partie des manches. La finition de dentelle au corps lui apporte une touche unique et féminine. Les instructions sont écrites à l’exception de la portion de dentelle au bas du corps, qui est accompagnée de ses abréviations. Chacune des abréviations dans le patron ont leur explication.
