Cette chanson de Pierre Bachelet, que j’adore, m’a accompagnée pendant tout le processus de création du pull Johanna, inspirée par le tableau « Les tournesols ». Au travers de ce design, je vous transmets donc un petit peu de mon peintre préféré, Vincent Van Gogh. Mais alors, pourquoi le prénom Johanna ? Pour rendre hommage à une femme, peu connue, qui a su comprendre son beau-frère de peintre et qui a, de son vivant et après sa mort, fait énormément pour la reconnaissance de ses œuvres. Alors merci Johanna Van Gogh et place au design !
Johanna est un pull top-down, composé de raglans simples et de dentelles sur les manches et le devant. C’est ma petite œuvre d’art pour les 18 ans de ma petite sœur, tricoté en base mérinos de chez Yarneline, coloris Mme Bonheur.

• Aiguille circulaire de 3,5 mm, ou de la taille nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon.
• Aiguille circulaire de 3 mm pour les côtes des manches, ou 0,5 mm de moins que les aiguilles utilisées pour obtenir le bon échantillon.

This french song by Pierre Bachelet, that I love so much, was my private song during all the design process of the Johanna sweater, inspired by the painting “Sunflowers”. Through this design, I share with you a little part of my preferred painter, Vincent Van Gogh. But though, why called it Johanna? In order to celebrate a not so well known woman, who fully supported his brother-in-law, the painter, and who, during Vincent’s life and after he died, did a lot for his paintings to be recognized. So, thanks Johanna, and let’s go to the pattern.
Johanna is a top down sweater, built with simple raglan and a lace panel on the sleeves and in the middle of the front. This sweater was designed for the 18y’s birthday of my little sister, the sample is knitted with merino fingering from Yarneline, color Mme Bonheur (which means Mrs Happiness).

Or (1060 - 1115 - 1160), 1215 - 1260 - 1340, (1400 - 1450 - 1530), 1600 - 1750 - 1840 yards / (970 - 1020 - 1060), 1110 - 1150 - 1225, (1280 - 1320 - 1400), 1460 - 1600 - 1680 m of every fingering yarn meeting the gauge.
Needles: circular needles US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 2 ½ (3 mm) for the sleeve ribs, or appropriate needles to reach the gauge (and two size less for the sleeve ribs)
Others: 10 stitch markers, Tapestry needle

Gauge :
26 st x 34 rows to 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette St on US 4 needles, after washed and blocked your swatch in the same manner you will wash and block your sweater.
Lace panel following the Front chart (first 18 rows) with US 4 needles is 5’’ (13 cm) width and 2’’ (5 cm) high.
