Pull through Bow Scarf
I knit this scarf based on a scarf that a friend had that I found interesting, and then wrote up these instructions of what I did. I don’t know if the friend’s scarf was knit following a pattern. It looks very similar to Jeanne Stevenson’s Vintage Pull Through Scarf (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vintage-pull-through-scarf), but I don’t have that pattern. What I’ve written up here is deliberately intended to be used with pretty much any size yarn, with instructions of how to make the bow shape longer or shorter.
Thanks to slowandsteady for pointing out that the Ravelry information above and my actual pattern list different weights- I wrote the pattern from memory and thought I used fingering, but then forgot to change it when I typed in what kind of yarn it was and Rav told me it was DK! I’ve now edited the info to say that this is for any gauge, and I’ll edit the pattern itself to say I used DK :)
Edited to add: this is not a scarf idea that I came up with! There are apparently a number of other versions online, in addition to the one I linked to above. If you want really specific instructions for a particular weight yarn, you might check them out. These may have more specific instructions:
