Oversize pullover Egyptian nights
SIZES: US M/XL = European 40/48
YARN: MC – Malabrigo Mechita col. Eggplant (881) 240g.
CC - Malabrigo Mechita col. Arco Iris (866) 240g.
GAUGE: 26sts and 24 rows = 10 х 10 cm (4” x 4”).
NEEDLES: straight needles 3.5 mm (30 cm long),
circular needles – 3.5 mm (50 cm long).
ABBREVIATIONS:
BO = bind off
CO = cast on
CC = contrasting color
Inc = increase stitch count using the loop cast-on method.
k = knit
MC = main color
k2tog = knit two (2) stitches together
p = purl
RS = right side
sl1 = slip a stitch knit-wise on the RS and purl-wise on the WS
sl2p = slip 2p from RN to LN (with yarn in WS)
st(s) = stitch(es)
WS = wrong side
YO = yarn over
(1) = (1st on RN after bind off stitches )
You can use lace, light fingering to worsted weight yarn. The degree of transparency depends on the weight of yarn. Knitting with thin yarn gives light, transparent and airy texture to this pullover.
Use my color scheme or choose any arrangement of the different colors if you prefer.
