Pumelo
Pumelo-hat is worked in the round from the brim up holding two strands of yarn together, one strand of fingering wt yarn and one strand of kidsilk.
You can adjust the length by adding more pattern repeats for longer, more slouchy beanie.

Yarn
50-60 g of fingering weight yarn, app. 210 m (230 yds) per 50 g and 25-35 g of lace weight kidsilk (75% Mohair, 25% Silk), app. 199 m (218 yds) per 25 g. The sample hat was knitted with Filcolana Arwetta Classic (80% Wool, 20% Nylon) 210 m/ 230 yds per 50g and Garnstudio DROPS Kid-Silk, (75% Mohair, 25% SIlk), 199 m/ 218 yds per 25 g.
Needles & notions
2.75 mm/ US 2 and 4.5 mm/ US 3 (80 cm/ 32 inches or longer for magic loop) circular needle, or set of four DPNs
markers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
24 sts x 44 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches with smaller needles in k1, p1 ribbing stitch after blocking, slightly stretched
22 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4 x 4 inches with bigger needles in pattern after moderate blocking (stretched width wise)
