This sweater is worked bottom-up in two pieces that are stitched together.
First, the Back is worked in a cable pattern with an 8-stitch Honeycomb, stocking stitch, and rib. Then the Underbelly is worked back and forth separately in a cable 8-stitch Honeycomb, stocking stitch, and rib. After completing the Back and Underbelly, stitches from both are worked together to form the Collar.
Lastly, the Back and Underbelly sides are seamed together, leaving a gap for the dog’s legs, and the Collar is seamed closed.
