The Crochet Pumpkin Gnome is the perfect option for both Halloween and Fall decor and will look fantastic sitting on your mantel or shelf surrounded by your festive holiday trinkets.

Simply switch up the yarn colors to your liking to fit your favorite holiday season. The pattern also includes two different styles of shoes to customize your Pumpkin Gnome even more.

PATTERN INFORMATION

• Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and helpful photographs to aid in construction.
• The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
• The pattern is formatted to have one featured image at the beginning of the pattern for reference with all other full-sized images at the end for easy, optional printing.

SKILLS NEEDED

• The skill level needed is intermediate (but ambitious beginners are always encouraged to try!).
• The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, standing single crochet, slip stitch, single crochet increase and decrease, invisible decrease, working in the back bar of the ch, treble crochet, working in the front and back loop only, bobble stitch, picot, the invisible finish, and the adjustable (magic) ring.
• Some hand stitching is also used in this project.

MATERIALS NEEDED (more specifics noted within the pattern)

• yarn in your choice of colors (about 275 yds/251 m of worsted/aran)
• a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
• stitch markers
• tapestry needle
• stuffing
• pins
• scissors
• chopstick to help stuff
• button (approx. 1/2 inch /12 mm - optional)
• Sewing thread and needle for buttons
• Doll Needle (at minimum 3.25 inches/8.3 cm in length)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

• Using hook size E/4 (3.5 mm) and worsted yarn the Pumpkin Gnome measures approximately 11 inches (28 cm) from the bottom of the foot to the top of the hat in a bent position and approximately 16 inches (40 cm) with the hat standing straight up.
• The miniature Pumpkin Gnome in the images was made using the same pattern, a 1.50 mm hook, and size 10 crochet thread. It measures approximately 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall with the tip of the hat standing straight up.
