This really sweet Pumpkin hat although designed with children in mind does come in sizes ranging from newborn right through to adults. It’s the perfect gift for any newborn or young person’s up and coming birthday or even Halloween outfit! (This hat will fit a head circumference ranging from 30 to 60cm).

The Hat is worked in two separate pieces that very simply are mounted together. The design is very forgiving and you do not have to be an expert sewer to join the two pieces together. Worked in aran yarn and 5mm extra long double pointed needles, the work progresses very quickly.

You begin the main section of the hat from the crown outwards. This completes the base in order to receive the decorative lace leaf crown.
Intermediate knitting skills required as you need to be comfortable with working in the round.
