So I wanted to do a hat pattern with a swirl like pumpkin hill……… so crab stitch cake into use. Initially I did not enjoy the crab stitch (I know I shouldn’t admit that), but after a while I actually fell in love with it!

I have not included a gauge for this pattern, it’s rather stretchy, but as stated, if you know you crochet super loose, then drop down a hook size, or if you crochet super tight then go up a hook size.

I’ve put this up as a free pattern for you to enjoy, it’s a DK weight, one skein wonder :)
