Using the Berry Stitch makes this hot mat quite thick and will protect your precious surfaces from hot dishes. The stitch looks like little pumpkins all in a row.
All instructions for the stitches are given in the pattern. The hot mat is worked as a rectangular pouch and the folded into a square. Photo guidance for the same is also given. Though the pattern is given using two colours it can easily be adapted to being made with multiple colours.
Use cotton yarn for safety- acrylic yarn will not withstand the heat.
