The year is 2020, the month is October and the outlook for trick or treating and Halloween parties is bleak BUT there is some hope! The Pumpkin Trail 2020 is sweeping the nation! It’s easy to get involved, just stick some form of pumpkin in your front window to show the outside world that joy lives on inside!!!!!!

This flat pumpkin is a very versatile pattern. You can make it in any yarn weight. Just use the hook size recommended on the ball band.

You could use your creation on its own as a coaster or applique or add a face using embroidery, felt or stick ons and hang it in your window. You could make loads and join them together to make bunting. You could make 2, crochet them together and lightly stuff them or even join just around the bottom half and add a handle to make a little trick or treat pouch! The possibilities are endless!
