Pumpkin parade
A fun little pattern that comes with written instructions for 4 different types of pumpkins: A warty pumpkin, an acorn squash, a bottle gourd, and a patty pan squash.
This pattern is the perfect add-on to my cute little pumpkin patch pattern and everyone who wants to bring a little bit of variety into their Halloween decoration.
Included in the pattern:
- pdf with altogether 12 pages
- very detailed step-by-step written instructions
- tons of pictures and helpful tips
- video tutorials for all knitting techniques are available (on my blog)
Difficulty:
Intermediate
These pumpkins are knit in the round on 2.50 mm double-pointed knitting needles. Quite a lot of knitters have finished it doing magic loop or using much bigger needles as well. The first and last few rows will be a bit fiddly.
Yarn and yardage:
Scrap quantities of fingering weight yarn will be enough (you barely need more than 10 grams for each pumpkin). But the instruction can be used for bigger needles and heavier yarn qualities as well (the result will be bigger then, obviously).
Skills required:
knit, purl, SSK, k2tog, k3tog, KLL, KRL, longtail cast on, i-cord
Additional materials:
- toy stuffing
