Sweet, round pumpkin booties in four sizes. A neat i-cord vine edges the top of the cuff then twines around the outside of it down to the foot. Little leaves are knitted at the same time as the vine– no fiddly pieces to attach later! The foot is knitted flat, with the cuff knitted in the round to minimize seaming.

Yarn needed:
Use fingering weight yarn to make Extra Small (0-3 months) & Small (3-6 months) sizes, and use sport weight yarn to make Medium (6-9 months) & Large (9-12 months) sizes.

Gauge:
Gauge is not critical, but it will affect the finished size of the booties. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric.
Fingering weight: approx. 32 - 34 sts = 4”
Sport weight: approx. 26 – 28 sts = 4”

Techniques/Skills Needed:
Simple increasing and decreasing
Knitting in the round using dpns, 1 circular & magic loop, or 2 circulars
Working an I-cord
