THIS HAS NOT BEEN TESTED

This is the first draft of pattern notes that I formatted to be like a pattern at the request of knitting group.

The most likely error will be the stitch counts at the end of the repeat sections in the increases and decreases. The idea is that you do the repeat section until you don’t have enough stitches and then just do as much of it as you can.

The pillow is designed to be a little bit lumpy and organic seeming than perfectly segmented (but I still wanted it to be an easy shaping repeat to follow).

I am planning to revisit this later so you can just favourite it if you would like to wait for a refined pattern or add it to your library and you should be notified when version 2 is uploaded.

The softest squishiest pumpkin to ever grace your couch.

This pumpkin pillow is knit seamlessly from the bottom up in the round. Once the body is 3/4 knitted you begin to stuff the pumpkin as you continue to decrease. The stem creates the final decrease of the pumpkin before cinching closed. Leftover lengths of yarn are looped around the pumpkin to create segments.

The pillow ends up being about 34cm in diameter and 19cm high not including the 7cm stem.

I used an old pillow’s filling for the stuffing and put it straight into the knitted pillow but you can always fashion a filling insert if you are worried about the stuffing poking through.

You can find a video featuring the knitting of this pattern (as well as sewing two other pillows) here.
