This is an infant and toddler-sized pumpkin hat that has enough stretch to fit a young child. The rolled brim can be knit on the size 6 needles or the size 4 if you would like a little bit of grip at the hem.

The pattern calls for use of crocheting to create a stem and curls at the top, but you could simply switch to green yarn before all of the hat decreases are completed and finish the hat with a 1” I cord to represent the stem.
