Lattes, pies, muffins, tea, hot chocolate, cake, apples… pumpkin spice shows up in everything. This versatile combination of spices is quintessentially autumn tasting, and these socks can are the perfect pairing. Large and small cables dance over an five colour fade, with one colour for each spice: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice.

Sizes
There are three sizes in the pattern, small (18cm foot circumference), medium (20cm foot circumference), and large (22.5cm foot circumference). Note that the sizes listed are measured around the sock, so find your size by measuring your foot and then subtracting 10%.

Yarn and Yardage
This pattern uses five skeins of yarn in a fade, with 40 - 50 yards for C1; 30 - 40 yards for C2; 70 - 110 yards for C3; 35 - 50 yards for C4; and 30 - 60 yards for C5; 250-310 yards in total. The design can use half skein fade sets, and can even use up leftovers from full skein fade sets for shawls or sweaters. Mini skein fade sets may also work, but make sure to note the yardage for C3 and C5 as it may be cutting it close depending on the yardage of your mini skeins. Of course, you can also knit this pattern up in a single colour!

Notions
Knitting needles (DPNs or circulars), cable needle, stitch markers, darning needle, and sock blockers.

Techniques
This pattern is more intricate than my other designs, and is best suited for intermediate knitters looking for a more involved pattern. The pattern is knit cuff down, in the round, with a heel flap and gusset, and requires knowledge of cabling as well as joining new colours in the round.
