Pumpkin Spice Everything
There are so many things to love about this pumpkin-spice inspired shawl!
Designed as an introduction to Japanese Lace, this generously sized crescent-shaped shawl features an easy stockinette body bordered by 32 rows of lace. What makes this a good introduction? Unlike many patterns with Japanese Lace motifs, I have included written instructions in addition to the chart, so you can check your understanding of the charted directions. This also makes it accessible to knitters who are unable to read charts. The lace pattern itself is as simple as Japanese Lace gets- just 2 maneuvers per repeat and easy to read them in your knitting.
Have you been putting off trying Japanese Lace? Now is the time to try it.
There’s more, though! If you love everything about a crescent-shaped shawl except the annoying hump at the center neckline, this shawl will make you smile. I designed it with a special cast on that makes that bump disappear.
