Find the pattern below for these cute autumn/holiday pumpkin vases, super easy and quick to make, you can have your very own fluffy felted pumpkin vase in no time! Written here are the instructions for the medium size vases pictured here. I have also made these vases in different colours as an everyday decoration, which has its own pattern due to yarn differences, this pattern will be available soon too!

Don’t be too worried about the gauge, the felting process can drastically change the size of these vases, so the gauge is provided as an estimation only, you should expect your vase to be 10 inches tall by 5 inches wide when felted, but as they don’t have to fit anybody, just relax!

You will need scissors, a bodkin/large eyed needle your 4.5mm crochet hook, a 6mm crochet hook, your worsted yarn and a place where you can hand felt! (Washing up bowl and liquid, or sink etc.)

I used 1 skein of the ‘sunset orange’ with a little left over after 2 vases, and obviously only used a little of the ‘chocolate brown’ so you can use up this lovely alpaca yarn for another project! (Not official colour way names)

Once you’ve made your vases, avoid washing unless absolutely necessary, if so only use cold water and hand wash otherwise you may risk your vases shrinking and felting more. Fill with rice to help them dry, you can leave the rice inside to aid stability of the vase and your dried flowers, or to use as a door stop!

I would ask that you only use this pattern for personal use, I am an independent knitwear designer and I sell my products, like these vases, as part of my business, and they are 100% my original design. Thank you and enjoy making your vases!
