Note#1 The pattern does not give guidance on required colourwork techniques (a choice between intarsia knitting or double stitching). It does however provide links to few websites providing guidance, in case the knitter is unfamiliar with these techniques.

I had a left over orange yarn in my cupboard and a need to knit another pair of socks for my little ones. Only needed a short brainstorming when it came obvious I would be knitting fox socks. I sketched a fox face on grid paper and then neatened it on fresh grid and there I was… ready to knit!

Kids love the friendly face of this fox. The size is for my 3-year-old daughter (EU 24) but because of the stretchy cuff they wont fall of my 1.5-year-old boy’s feet (EU 22). The size can be modified for a longer or smaller foot easily but increasing/decreasing rows in the foot piece.

For the sock pair you need about 51 g of yarn. A safe thing is to have approximately 10 g of black, 10 g of white and 40 g of orange yarn, not to run out.

Hiljattain minulla oli jälleen tarve kutoa uudet sukat lapsille ja kaapin kätköissä oranssia lankaa. Pienen tuumailun jälkeen oli selvää että langasta syntyisi kettusukat. Hahmottelin ketun naaman ruutupaperille, siistin sen puhtaalle paperille ja olinkin jo valmis neulomaan.

Lapset rakastavat ketun ystävällistä naamaa. Neulottu koko on 3-vuotiaalle tyttärelleni (koko 24), mutta joustavan varren vuoksi sukat pysyvät jalassa jopa 1,5-vuotiaalla pojallani (koko 22). Kokoa voi muuttaa lisäämällä/vähentämällä jalkaterän pituutta.

Sukkapariin tarvitset noin 51 g lankaa. Turvallista on varata sukkiin noin 10 g mustaa, 10 g valkoista ja 40 g oranssia lankaa.
