This cowl is very simple, just enough to seal the gaps around a coat collar and keep the chill out. It can also be worn up around the ears. This stitch pattern is great because not only is it very warm and squishy, it’s perfectly reversible, too! If it gets dirty, the wearer can just flip it. This is a very beginner level cable pattern so it’s great to learn on!
Please use real wool to create the warmest and most protective cowl possible and do the most good. I recommend Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool or Stitch Nation Washable Ewe if you’re on a tight budget, they’re affordable to begin with and can be purchased from JoAnn, Michaels, et. al. using coupons.
