This cowl converts to a hat, or in a pinch, even a bag. The drawstring channel is double knit, which can be a bit challenging to start but is a great skill to have! Thesprucecrafts.com has a good tutorial and there are many others available. This piece will look good whichever side is facing out.
Please use real wool to create the warmest and most protective cowl possible and do the most good. I recommend Lion Brand Fisherman’s Wool or Stitch Nation Washable Ewe if you’re on a tight budget, they’re affordable to begin with and can be purchased from JoAnn, Michaels, et. al. using coupons.
