This guy was named “Puppy Dog” by my 2 year old little boy. I was about half way thru making the second version of this pattern and my son kept asking for Puppy Dog when ever I was working on it. My boys know that they can’t have my stuffed animals until they are all done and I have had a chance to take pictures. Now finally my little guy gets to cuddle his Puppy Dog.

Puppy Dog is a huge 19 inches tall which is a fantastic size for a giant hug for little ones. This softie is made from Bulky weight yarn so it works up super fast. Also, I’m not a huge fan of sewing up at the end of a project so all my patterns are designed to have as few seams that need sewing as possible.

Skills used in this pattern include the following: knit, purl, simple decreasing, simple increases, knitting in the round and mattress seam.

Supplies needed include approximately 220 yards of Bulky yarn in main color and approximately 50 yards of Bulky yarn in contrasting color, size 10 double pointed needles, fluff for stuffing, safety eyes and noses.
