A baby blanket made of four squares, pooling colorful stripes into the small-scale Houndstooth pattern.

Construction Notes:
Puppytooth blanket is made with four squares crocheted in Houndstooth stitch, using planned pooling - each row equals approx.one stripe (one Uneek’s color change).

A few stitches off at the start or end of the row will not affect the pattern too much, adding to the overall unique hand-dyed,
ikat-like effect.

For the Houndstooth stitch to show, it’s necessary to either get the exact gauge, or adjust the number of stitches per row depending on your gauge.

Note: These adjustments will affect the final blanket size and yardage.

After squares are completed, they are joined with a decorative Zig-zag join. The blanket is finished with Crab stitch edging to match the seams.

The pattern includes Zig-zag join and Crab stitch photo tutorials.
