Purdey is an earflap hat for both boys and girls. It has a fun retro repeat bubble type pattern that is knitted in the round. Very stretch, very warm and super cute.
This little hat will be a staple in your little ones cold weather wardrobe and I hope you enjoy knitting it as much as I do.

It is knitted in the round using fixed circulars, dpn’s or the Magic Loop method. All instructions are included.

Uses 8ply or DK yarn

Needles are 2.5mm & 3.5mm needles

For intermediate knitters

Earflaps, icord to bow or tie or leave hanging straight.

You could stick a matching pom pom on top or a faux fur pom pom.

Sizing information. This hat has lots of stretch from the pattern. In the photos, Baby E is 3 months old exactly. In the cream hat she wears a NB to 3M hat and it is at the top end of fitting her. The purple and grey hats she wears a 3M to 6M hat. Perfectly fitted.

Toddler J is 2 and a half and wears both a pink and brown Purdey in size 12M to 24M. In the image with a blue hat he is in a 24M to 36M hat.

The guage for this hat is based on DK yarn using a 4mm needle. Even though you don’t knit this using a 4mm needle purchasing the yarn with this guage will give you the correct size knit.
